YYYY is year MM is two-digit month (01-12) DD is two-digit day (01-31) LEVEL is product level number (L1a, L1b, L2) FORMAT is format type (txt, hdf, xml) File names are, e.g., 20011002_1637chm_g44_1p0.L1a.txt.gz where 20011001 = year 2001, month 10, day-of-month 01 1637 = occultation start time is 16:37 (GPS time) chm = receiver is chm ("chm" indicates "CHAMP") g44 = transmitter is g44 ("g44" indicates "GPS SVN 44") 1p0 = product version 1p0 (1.0) L1a = product level is L1a (L1a, L1b, or L2) txt = product format is txt (txt, hdf, or xml) This file has also been compressed using gzip, as indicated by the ".gz" extension.
