2002 Spring AGU meeting, Washington, DC.

23 April 2002:
The command was sent yesterday to switch from the "B"-side electronics to the "A"-side. The data from that side looks fine. The task now is to update the SW from the May 2001 version now on the A-side. After the SW is up to data, the tracking will be compared to the recently deteriorated B-side data. This SW update will take all week. We shouldn't expect to see any new SAC-C tracking or occ data until the SW update is complete.

3 March 2002:
A major software upload was attempted on January 29th. 2002 to enable ionospheric occultations in SAC-C. The upload included improvements in the scheduler of the non-occulting satellites, a decrease in the number of resets, and enabling ionospheric occultations. The upload had to be interrupted and could not be tried again until March 03. Occultation data are thus not available for the time between the two dates. Occultation tracking had been left on, but the receiver was unable to acquire them until the upload could be completed.

29 Oct 2001:
Testing new data acquisition modes on SAC-C. Receiver and data formatting Software are getting frequent changes. Although SAC-C data flow will stop during the tests, usable data from this period will appear under genesis probably by mid-January 2002.
